Introduction to the Library

Accessing Your Library Account

To access your library account, navigate to the library's home page. You can access your library account in one of two ways:

1) Beneath the WorldCat Discovery search bar is a blue box with a link to the login page. To access your library account, use your e-mail credentials at Palo Alto University. If you're unable to access your account for any reason please reach out to the librarians

2) Another way to access your library account is when you're using WorldCat Discovery. After entering your search terms and reviewing the results page, look for a white box in the upper-right corner that says Sign in for the full experience

Features

In your library account, you can:

  • Renew items
  • Place interlibrary loan requests
  • Check for any fines on your account
  • Review your search history in the WorldCat Discovery layer tool; this allows you to see the keywords and subject terms used in previous searches, the number of hits it generated, and creates a link to view the resources
  • Find journals by title
  • Access course reserves

After logging in with your credentials, look for the Library Quick Links option that's located on the Palo Alto University banner. The quick links turns into a drop-down menu showcasing some of the aforementioned features.
