Locating Journals and Magazines

You can access journal search from the quick links drop-down menu in your library account or by navigating to our Explore Our Resources section located on the library homepage:
 

 

Once you're in the journal search screen, select the Search tab and the Journal box to begin searching for journals by title. You'll notice a search type underneath the title search, the default being Starts with; if you misspell the title of the journal or enter words out of order the system will not be able to locate the journal in question. You can switch the search type to accommodate your needs with the following options: Match all words, match exact words, and match any words
 


Click on the title of the journal to see dates of coverage and a link to the publisher's website for full-text access, as described by the coverage in the journal's record. See the example below for the Journal of Black Psychology
 

Locating Articles

Go to journal search and select the search tab, then the Articles option. You will be prompted to fill out the citation information to locate the journal article in question. In order to conduct the search, you will need either the name of of the journal where the article can be found or the ISSN (International Standard Serial Number).
