APA Citation 7th Edition

Magazines and Newspapers

Conducting research will bring you into contact with a variety of information that operate outside of scholarly, peer-reviewed sources, such as blog entries, newspapers, magazines, newsletters, and more. While these sources are diverse in their location and content, how they're cited on the reference list will follow a similar path.

Things to note:

DOI/URL: When an online source contains both a DOI and a URL, only include the DOI in your reference list entry. As a reminder, the DOI or URL appears at the end of the reference list entry.

Missing information: If a periodical is missing information such as volume number, issue number, or page range, omit it from your reference list entry. For more information, please consult the APA Style website
