The library offers ILL services to provide free electronic delivery of research materials from other resource-sharing libraries to current students, faculty, and staff. ILL supplements the resources that are freely available in full text through the library and on the open web and operates in compliance with all limitations imposed on resource sharing operations by copyright law and publisher licensing agreements. In addition, you can use the library's ILL platform, Tipasa, to request other items that are not available in the library's collections or through ILL, free of charge.

Copyright law generally restricts electronic delivery of research materials to a single document from a given publication. For example:
Although publisher licensing agreements can sometimes prevent libraries from sharing some or all of their digital content with other libraries, we are almost always able to fill ILL requests that meet the criteria outlined above.

ILL is not available for requesting physical or digital copies of complete items like books, journal issues, psychological tests, and videos. However, you can still use Tipasa to request such items. The library uses Tipasa to support item requests as well as ILL requests. This allows us to prevent copyright and licensing compliance issues, build stronger library collections, streamline our operations, and optimize outcomes for you. Content will be provided whenever possible, free of charge. Any potential library purchases will be given full consideration in accordance with our collection development policy. Please note, however, that textbooks generally cannot be purchased for whole-class use through libraries, due to current publication practices. Consequently, students should plan on purchasing their textbooks through the online bookstore. Both the library's collection development policy and the online bookstore are linked under "Related Links" in the ILL Toolkit.
